If greasy hair is a problem for you, whether it’s all too frequently oily or just an oily one off, try using cornflour. It can be used as a dry shampoo when you don’t have time to wash your hair or if you feel you have been overwashing it!

If you want to give it a try pour a little onto a plate, dip your fingers in the flour and dab it on the oily parts of your hair only. It will absorb the oil for you and take away the shine leaving you with that fresh washed hair look. Use a paddle brush or some kind of thick bristle brush to remove the flour. (Also great for taking on camping trips or times when washing your hair is just not going to be an option such as plastic surgery- or any surgery for that matter)

Tips for sweet smelling hair: you can add your own dried flowers to cornflour. Choose dried flowers that have smells that make you feel good. Put the cornflour and dried flowers in together and mix around a little. Put them in a jar with a tight lid and put in a cool cupboard for 2 weeks or more. After about two weeks take the flowers out. (if they don’t come out easily you can sift the cornflour and the flowers will stay in the sifter that you can then discard) Put a new batch of flowers in and mix around again. After another 2 weeks you will have lovely smelling dry shampoo. Take the flowers out again and keep the lid on tight until you need to use some.

You might be too busy to wash your hair, but your hair is going to look and smell like you’ve spent lots of time on it.
